based on the "thrill of unpacking" the cardboard cloud is an exhibit design by fantastic norway and is currently hanging in oslo at the center for design and architecture.


like i always say, having one of a thing is nice but having hundreds of the same thing is AH-mazing.

just saw this lovely necklace on jean pelle's etsy site. we've seen her dorit candlestick holders online and at the designboom mart at icff, but this is the first time i've seen this necklace....

and at $36 plus shipping, you really can't afford not to buy one.

big breasts, sausages, donuts and horses have in common? they seem to be reoccurring themes in the work of the london-based artist, nienke klunder.

b forwarded me her url after i saw some of her work over his shoulder on his computer screen.

ink calendar

i am just going to go ahead and say it. ink calendar by oscar diaz is GENIUS. as the paper soaks up the ink, it marks the passing of the days indicated by the numbers that make the calendar. i'm going to say it again. genius.

the ink color used for the calendar is based on the weather for that month. ie dark blue in the winter to greens in spring and red in summer.

i stumbled across beth cavener stichter's work again while going through old bookmarks. i'm into how raw, sinister but slightly comical these pieces are. they have a lot of personality, something out of alice in wonderland, perhaps.
